Rotary Encoder Knob Mod

Rotary Encoder Knob Mod

Kudos to miros for an excellent design. I wanted a more compact version that's easier to assemble, so I created this. Here are the key changes: 1. A smaller base that uses less plastic. 2. Fewer but deeper teeth on the gear wheel, making it more reliable and easier to position - there's now a much larger sweet spot. 3. Anchor points for one side of the switch (with a bigger sweet spot, I get great repeatability when installing the switches by anchoring one end with a screw and then adjusting the other end before gluing). 4. A lower profile knob. 5. Mounting points for attaching the knob under a panel (a larger version of the base). STL and SCAD files are included.
