This is a basic mechanical model of a photoelectric rotary encoder, which someone else might find useful to create a bracket to hold it as I have done. The one in this design uses three M3 screws for mounting at 120 degrees apart. There are two sets of three holes; one set at 14 mm and the other at 15 mm from the center. This model's features match the item I received, but I'm not sure how standard it is. I've seen several similar pictures on eBay listings with different resolutions such as 360, 400, or 600 pulses per revolution. The encoder in question can be found on eBay as item number 161297002173.
