Rotary Dial (fake) for a flip phone
thingiverse
This is a mock-up rotary dial for a flip phone. My family and friends constantly tease me about still living in the Stone Age and owning a flip phone. They may have their high-end phones with all those apps and features, but they don't possess a rotary dial. Hopefully this will bring a smile to someone's face. Enjoy. You can secure the finger stop (small pointed piece) to the bracket before assembling the dial. Install the dial onto the bracket pivot before attaching the dome-shaped cover to the top of the pivot post. Be cautious not to get glue on the sides of the pivot when you attach the dome-shaped dial cover or the dial will not rotate. The assembly is attached to the flip phone with a 3" rubber band. First, insert one end of the rubber band between the finger stop and the top of the dial. Then, underneath the dial to the slots in the bracket for the rubber band. Next, stretch the other end of the rubber band behind the phone and into the other rubber band slots.
