Rotary cutter for Ender 3 Pro (vinyl cutter)
thingiverse
This project adds rotary cutting capabilities to an existing Ender 3 Pro configuration, but can be attached to other printers too. This add-on will not interfere with the end stops on the Ender and can be left on while printing normally (but maybe retract the knife then using the screw on top). For a more detailed manual including how to create copper circuits from KiCad to gcode, see: https://github.com/kvriet/3dprinter-rotary-cuttingThe rotary cutter used here is the Roland Cricut cutting plotter: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32768955648.htmlThe holder for the cutter can be 3D printed in PLA without using supports. A layer thickness of 0.2 or 0.3mm will work. There are two holder versions: with or without an M2 threaded insert. The insert is a metal part that adds screw thread to the print. These inserts can be inserted into the PLA using a soldering iron or a dedicated insert tool. This is not needed per se. The screw can also be inserted into the top hole, creating the screw thread the first time it is screwed in. Choose the appropriate STL based on your preferences. In terms of hardware, you will also need:3x M2x15 bolt for the top to tune how far the knife comes out of the holder, and for the front clamp2x M2 nut for use with the clamp bolts1x M3x8 bolt to secure the vinyl cutter to the EnderOptional: one M2 threaded insert
