Create a 4th axis for lightweight CNC and 3D printing projects using a NEMA 23 stepper motor. The design features a face plate for customization, and can be built from 6mm MDF. An alternative printable version is also available. To construct this 4th axis, gather materials such as a frame (your choice of construction), four rotary table bearing housings, one rotary table motor mount, four 8x22x7 bearings, an 8mm rotary table layshaft, an 8mm rotary table spindle, two T5x10 10 tooth gears, two T5x10 40 tooth gears, a NEMA 23 stepper motor, a rotary table spindle spacer, and assorted M4 bolts and nuts. Following the provided jpeg for guidance, you'll need to assemble various spacers using 10mm tube with a 1mm wall. Happy building!
