An aluminum derivative of Johann's Rostock uses 80/20 1010 T-slotted extrusions instead of smooth stainless steel rods for support. The PRISMA structure features three vertical sections of 1010 extrusion, with horizontal pieces sandwiched between plastic gussets at each end and secured with t-nuts. All other parts hang from the aluminum extrusion on specially designed mounting clips. A BOM includes 9 aluminum extrusions, carbon fiber tubes, ball bearings, stainless steel screws, locknuts, washers, electronics like RAMPS and a heatbed, timing belts, pulleys, a Hot-End Assembly for "Steves-Extruder," and printed parts from Thingiverse. The PRISMA boasts a straight, clean, and sturdy structure with a maximum build height of 13 inches achievable by adjusting the length of vertical extrusions and belts.
