Rostock/Orion Hotswapping Ball-cup Laser Mount
thingiverse
A versatile laser mount I crafted for a budget-friendly half-watt (Accuracy of this rating is uncertain) 405nm cutting unit purchased on AliExpress. Still ironing out the kinks in making the entire system function as intended, but the mount itself performs flawlessly. Designed with ball-cup arms and HE-280 conversion in mind for seamless hot-swapping between various effectors. Secure the mount to the laser, press-fit the laser controller onto the pegs, bolt the mount to a ball-cup effector. You can order the 8-pin female connector (to mate with the HE-280 compliant wire whip) from Mouser, part number 651-1778612, for the full hot-swapping experience. Edit 1/3/17: Added an image of the mount in use while etching my Chromebook.
