This custom hotend platform was designed to achieve several key objectives.\r\n\r\n1) Simplify the process of maintaining or replacing the hotend without requiring extensive disassembly\r\n2) Utilize standard E3D components (or compatible alternatives) and parts that can be salvaged from the original HE280 platform\r\n\r\nIn the Assembly Instructions PDF, I use the stock HE280 accelerometer cover, but personally prefer this [Accelerometer Cover](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2122793). I have not created a translucent version yet, but plan to do so as soon as I need to mount that type of filament.\r\n\r\nI hope others will develop enhancements like improved fan mounts or an LED light ring, similar to the design done by [Djkirkendall](https://www.thingiverse.com/Djkirkendall/about).\r\n\r\nDesign suggestions are encouraged.
