Rostock Max v2 Wire Saver
thingiverse
I'm using a custom-fit sleeve that clicks seamlessly into the 1-inch hole where the hot end, extruder, and layer fan wires pass through. My initial attempt with the heat shrink tubing provided in the kit didn't quite pan out as I struggled to get it to contract enough, leaving it prone to slipping downwards over time. To reinforce this, I've opted for an additional protective measure – wrapping split loom material on top of the existing setup. **Instructions** For this project, I utilized ABS filament; PLA should yield equally good results. Print the design at a scale of 1:1 with the lipped edge aligned directly above the hotplate. In my case, printing without any supports worked flawlessly. You have the option to install this sleeve from either the top or bottom of your machine – I chose to do so from underneath to avoid unnecessary disassembly.
