Rostock Max V2 Nimble Mount
thingiverse
Here is a nimble mount specifically designed for the Rostock Max V2 by SeeMeCNC featuring the PEEK Hotend. Visit https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2184991 to access firmware settings. To print this model, rotate it with supports or skip them if you prefer. I recently reworked this design, removing the thin wall and made some additional changes. I'm considering adding material below the worm gear for improved stability but haven't done so yet. This mount includes the entire hotend (before the nimble modifications) as an iges file, allowing users to create their own custom designs if needed. SeeMeCNC provides some of the necessary files, such as the effector and nylon ball ends, but others like the PEEK Hotend are not available. To install this mount, you'll need to remove the PTC fitting from the top, disassemble the hotend, and replace the PTFE liner with a longer one. This new liner will be cut off after installation. I've added step-by-step pictures for clarity. Begin by carefully removing the old PTFE liner, then add the new, longer piece. Thread everything back together, secure the orange piece with a nut, and attach the yellow piece to the effector. Finally, mount the nimble mount to the effector and slice off the excess PTFE tube. Don't forget to add captive nuts for securing the nimble mount in place. If your hotend separates at the bottom of the PEEK portion during disassembly, don't worry – this is a common issue that I've encountered multiple times when working on my own hotend.
