Rostock Max v2 Effector/Fan Shroud Combo Alt

Since I upgraded to the newer nylon knuckles, the original design failed to keep them from shifting and throwing off calibration, so I simply cut off the unused holes and added posts to securely hold them in place. Print Settings: Printer Brand: SeeMeCNC Printer: Rostock MAX Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 80% Notes: I used ProtoPasta Carbon Fiber, a PLA material that will be interesting to see if it holds up and doesn't deform. It's definitely light, but given the properties of PLA, it could still warp if it's too warm. Although I marked no supports, you can place custom supports under each post if your software allows it. I used Simplify3D and placed some supports, which was quicker than removing all internal supports the software wanted to place. Is PLA Suitable for this? No, it wasn't until I replaced the effector with 713Maker that I realized I was performing calibration more often than necessary. The peek fan would blow hot air onto one side of the effector, visibly warping it after hundreds of hours of print time. If I were to print again with carbon fiber in mind, I would opt for XT-CF20 or any material other than PLA (such as ABS or PETG).
