Rostock Max V2 Dimmer Bracket
pinshape
It's a bracket that secures a dimmer and a .28" volt meter onto the Rostock max V2's melamine lid. The purpose is to control a 15 LED angel light ring around the hot end, allowing for adjustable brightness and enabling users to turn off the lights when not in the room with the printer. A version of the bracket without the volt meter has been included for those who prefer not to run one. See it in action here: https://youtu.be/C1I-3bAwU-U Instructions For this part, ABS or PLA will work well. The bracket fits snugly on the edge as is, but there are clearance holes for two 6-32 bolts if a secure mounting to the platform is desired. Wires from the power supply should be run to the dimmer and the volt meter. On the dimmer output wires, they should be passed through an aluminum extrusion to the top and then down with the hotend wires to the lights on the hotend platform. If not using an LED circuit with resistors, ensure safety by adding some between the dimmer and the LEDs. A Supernight Aluminum dimmer from Amazon has been used: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JQ437YM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The volt meter used can be replaced with a 2 wire model if preferred: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IWLU8YC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
