Rostock Max v2 Dial Indicator Mount
thingiverse
I crafted this mount to securely attach a Harbor Freight dial indicator to my RoMaxV2 for precise calibration of the bed geometry. Initially, I explored other designs but chose this one because it provides more contact area with the indicator barrel, ensuring stability during use. The thickness will help keep the part intact while adding or removing the indicator, as the center hole is intentionally a snug fit. The center hole was designed to be about 0.5mm larger than what measuring the indicator barrel suggests, considering that Hatchbox PLA shrinks slightly during printing, as I discovered on my first attempt with this material. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: SeeMeCNC Printer: Rostock MAX BYOE Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 24% Notes: The center hole is designed slightly larger than the indicator barrel due to the shrinkage of Hatchbox PLA during printing.
