I've developed an efficient solution for you, which could be useful in various situations. It has proven to be effective and sturdy, replacing the original 2-piece spool holder arms with a single piece. I printed it at 3 shells and 33.3% infill for maximum strength. The new PLA spools I acquired are wider than the previous ones, as shown in the images. Alongside the text description, you'll find a Sketchup design raw file and gcode ready to print on your Rostock MAX.
