Rostock Max EZStruder Top Plate Mount and Spool Holder
pinshape
This is a minimalist mounting system to relocate your EZStruder to the top of Rostock Max. Routing all wires remains your responsibility. The spool holder will also accommodate small 1lb Taulman spools. Instructions You'll need six M4 bolts and nuts to secure it to the top plate. There are three spots on the printer's top where the extruder and the spool can be mounted. You're likely to want to mount the spool in the spot you consider the front of your printer, leaving the other two spots for mounting the extruder(s). The filament passes through the center hole when it moves from the top spool to the underneath extruder, so a less curved route means that the spool and the extruder should not be mounted on top of each other. However, a spool can be mounted above another extruder in a dual-extruder setup. I printed both with two shells and 25% infill. This was enough for the extruder mount, but the spool post probably needs something a bit more substantial.
