The ring was created using LED light strips instead of loose 1 watt LEDs due to their availability. The bottom of the platform is where it fits, with an additional hole for wire passage. There's ample space between the hot end and the light ring, so overheating isn't a concern. The design ensures that only the part surface is illuminated, preventing glare. The LED strip used is 12V, 300 SMD LEDs (measuring 16 feet), cut into three 6-inch sections and secured inside the ring with Loctite Go2 Glue for high temperature tolerance.
