Rostock Max Bed Shield Bracket
thingiverse
I was struggling with corners of ABS prints sticking until I tried sealing off cold drafts in my print room from the printer bed. So I created three brackets, inserted them into the vertical rails of my Rostock Mac V2 printer, and cut three pieces of poster board to fit between them. No more problems with corners adhering to the bed! Moreover, I've observed that the bed heats up faster and the temperature remains more stable. The poster board pieces I cut were 14-3/4" x 5". Make them too tall and they'll obstruct the arms of the printer. I fabricated these brackets from ABS. PLA was too brittle to spring the arms open around the vertical rails. The entire system is easy to install or remove in about a minute, and the poster board slips right out for removing parts or cleaning the bed.
