Rostock Carriage Igus/Traxxas - Alternative mounting
thingiverse
A Fresh Take on the Rostock Carriage Igus/Traxxas mod. I tailored this remake to meet several specific needs: accommodate my universal endstop-holder ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:471761 ) so that everything fits like a glove swap out those clunky "grid-style" belt mountings for something more sturdy - two screws with a clip-holder work better, don't you agree? after all, they won't break as easily and look sleek in the process added front belt mounting because some designs, such as the popular "zam kossel alt", require this extra feature but it's surprising there aren't more Rostock front-belt designs out there pushed the endstop-screw towards the center of the smooth rods when viewed from above and closer to the middle, just like in many other Rostock designs, this makes it a breeze to attach the belts also gave the hex-nut holes an extra boost in size - you see, when they're too tight, the material starts to break as you tighten those screws, yikes! the clamping system is designed to absorb excessive belt tension and keep everything securely in place. You see, if the belt's not properly tightened, it will exert force that'll cause the screws to come loose, no matter how tight they are - with or without washers, mind you. printed at a .5 nozzle diameter, .3 layer height and 25% infill at 60mm/s.
