~Rosette Planter~ Inspired by the intricate architectural details found in the stunning rosette windows at Notre Dame Cathedral, this planter was conceived and designed in SelfCAD for the prestigious MyMiniFactory / SelfCAD design competition. The goal was to create a simple yet elegant planter that would showcase the breathtaking image of the rosette window as its main focal point. To achieve this, the "Image to 3D" tool was utilized to convert a photographed zoomed-in image of the rosette window at Notre Dame Cathedral into a three-dimensional model. By adjusting the parameters and tolerance when importing the image, a textured surface was successfully created that perfectly replicates the intricate details of the rosette window on the planter's surface. The resulting model was then duplicated and rotated to form a square, which was later merged with a base to create a sturdy foundation for the planter. With the "Magic Fix" tool, any imperfections were seamlessly resolved, ensuring that the planter is now ready for 3D printing. This modular design makes it an ideal addition to any home or workspace, simply place your favorite succulent or other vegetation inside and enjoy! One of the benefits of this model is that it does not require support material during the printing process.
