Rose Holder
pinshape
A coworker asked me if I could create a stand for a painted rose sculpture he had created. I agreed, and all he needed to do was give me a drawing of what he envisioned. He did that, but when searching online, he couldn't find anything suitable for his needs, so I designed the holder in 123D Design. The design is a straightforward V-shaped structure with a cymbal-shaped base. It can be scaled up or down to accommodate pens, pencils, or other long cylindrical items. I printed this project using Polyalchemy Elixir Abyss filament, which has an excellent shine and doesn't require any post-printing work. Most printers should be able to print the stand without supports since the arm is at a 45-degree angle. I printed the stands at a .2mm layer height with 25% infill.
