ROSCO - Track Rover
thingiverse
Introducing an Arduino-powered rover with ABS treads, this small-scale robot features major updates, including an Android 3.0+ device for Wi-Fi remote control and telepresence capabilities. The design incorporates DC motors for propulsion, servos for look up/down, a stepper motor for left/right movement, IR sensors for distance ranging, a laser pointer for coolness, shaft encoders for speed detection and DC motor syncing, a gyroscope for automated missions, XBee control for guided missions, and a mini-video camera for capturing footage. As part of a school project, the rover's chassis is entirely 3D printed, with a comprehensive parts list including essential vitamins like an Arduino Uno, Adafruit Motor Shield, DC motors, stepper motor, Dagu Mini Pan & Tilt kit, and batteries. Suggestions for improvement are welcome. Printing instructions and assembly guides for the various components will be provided soon. Note that the track must be printed using ABS due to its flexibility, while PLA is not suitable. Further updates on assembly instructions are forthcoming.
