Roronoa Zoro, also known as Zoro "The Pirate Hunter", is a fictional character created by Eiichiro Oda. , is a fictional character in the One Piece franchise created by Eiichiro Oda. In the story, Zoro is the first crewmate to join Monkey D. Luffy's crew after Luffy and Koby save him from being executed at the Marine Base by Captain Morgan. He is the crew's fighter and one of the two swordsmen of the Straw Hat Pirates. He also has a habit of frequently going to the wrong places, which is a recurring joke throughout the series. Zoro is known solely as an expert in Santōryū (three-sword style), where he wields a third sword with his mouth in combat. Throughout the series, his primary sword is Wado Ichimonji, one of the 21 great swords of the world that he inherited from a childhood friend, Kuina, and is often the sword he wields in his mouth, while the other two swords frequently change and improve over time. Zoro has many scars on his body. The most notable is the long scar running down his left eye, which is the one he got after returning from the two-year time skip.
