I wanted to combine two of my favorite pastimes: 3D printing and paracord knotting, so I designed this case with a lid that glides smoothly along a length of sturdy 550 paracord. To add a decorative touch, I used an intricate lanyard knot at the end of the vibrant orange rope, while a durable solomon bar – also known as a reliable cobra knot – serves as a dependable slider. Print with supports at a moderate level, 10% infill, and a precision .2mm layer height for optimal results. Note that you will need to carefully remove some of the supports from the lid after printing. For exceptional results, run a robust 3/16 drill bit through the holes where the rope will be threaded. The comprehensive "thing" file demonstrates exactly how I structured the layout specifically for the Replicator 2. I have also included precise .STL files for added convenience and reference.
