Rope Winder
thingiverse
Being an organizer at heart, I was getting fed up with ropes and chords constantly getting knotted up. So I created these rope winders. They cater to different size ropes. Follow the images on how to wrap them. I used 3mm MDF but you can use any thickness of MDF or perspex that suits your needs. I will probably remake the 8mm one in 6mm perspex. The tops and bottoms are designed to provide some flexibility so the rope is not kinked excessively. I employed wood glue to secure them together. The holes facilitate lining up the pieces perfectly. TIP: When winding on the rope, rotate the winder while wrapping the rope. Do not twist the rope around the winder or it will introduce twists into the rope. To tie off the rope, I used my bungee cord found here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3375280 Have fun!
