Rope Tensioner (Tiedown)
thingiverse
Here's a little rope tensioner thing that hopefully someone will find useful. There are two sizes that work well for paracord (small) and 1/4" rope(large one). The commercial ones that I have are not symmetrical so when they are tensioned, the load is not through the midline of the part. If that style was 3d printed, this would create a weak point. With that in mind, I made this part symmetrical and it can take quite a large load. I hung a 50Lb weight off the large one and it survived. The strength will be highly dependant on material type, infill and printer tuning, so your mileage will vary. I wouldn't tie down your $3000 mountain bike to the top of the car with this, but it's great for many other things. If you want larger or smaller, stronger, etc., scale up and down in your slicer. Please post your Makes.
