Rope Pull Handle
thingiverse
Our home features an innovative system where a set of stairs descends into the attic from a foldable frame. To lower the stairs, simply grasp the sturdy handle at the end of a rope attached to them. This handle is strategically positioned for easy access. Next, pass a secure and durable rope (crafted from either high-quality nylon or cotton) through a specifically designed hole within the handle and tie a tight knot to hold it firmly in place. Additionally, I have taken extra precautions by attaching a strain relief device at the other end of the rope. If not done correctly, the rope could become severely stressed as it is pulled, causing undue tension on a single point - potentially weakening or damaging it. The attached relief device cleverly distributes the stress evenly, making it highly unlikely that you will widen the hole in question or have the rope accidentally come loose and slip through.
