Rope
thingiverse
A versatile model of triple strand rope is available in four configurations: line, spool, ring, and coil. To tailor the model to your needs, use the customizer or directly edit the rope.scad file. Each of the four distinct objects is created as a single polyhedron that can be manipulated in OpenSCAD just like any other object - i.e., difference and union operators can be used to create intricate designs such as fluted pillars. The surface finish of the rope is controlled by the 'fc' (facet count) parameter, similar to how one would use the $fn parameter when creating a cylinder. Note that significantly increasing fc results in a substantial increase in facets within the object, which can lead to large STL file sizes for the spool and coil models.
With this file you will be able to print Rope with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Rope.
