This is a template designed to enable tracing onto wood so a pattern can be cut out. It was created specifically for the Root2 CNC project... Version 2. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1001437 You might also use it to trace patterns on other materials. To create this template, you'll need: * Scotch tape * Super glue (I used Gorilla glue with brush and nozzle) * Cardboard or a flat surface that won't get damaged by the glue Print Settings: Printer: MAKERFRONT i3PRO-XL Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.06 mm Infill: 100% Notes: This is a template designed to enable tracing onto wood so a pattern can be cut out. It was created specifically for the Root2 CNC project... Version 2. I used 123D design and applied the extrusion tab (extruded to 1mm thick) before saving as an STL file. The file was then imported into Tinkercad where I made a very thin strip into a hole and cut the template in two pieces. How I Designed This I assembled it by placing the two pieces together after aligning them, and on one side I used scotch tape. Then I bent the pieces in half and applied Gorilla super glue with brush and nozzle along the edge. I placed the tape side down and 12 hours later taped the other side with scotch tape for added strength. Remember that this is just a template designed to enable tracing an outline onto other materials like wood. You could potentially use it on aluminum as well.
