This is a root shield for pots in an aquaponic system, specifically designed to prevent fish from eating basil plant roots. The shield protects the roots up to a length of approximately 30cm, safeguarding them against damage caused by curious fish. Measuring slightly longer than 30cm in total length, the unit features an inner diameter of around 5.9cm at its narrowest point, making it compatible with various pots. The design files for this root shield are identical: both the 3D model file (3dm) and the STL file, named rootshield2.stl, contain the same specifications. Initially designed as a 3dm file, I attempted to export it to STL format but unfortunately, my computer overheated and shut down before I could save the changes.
