Root Robot Raspberry Pi Zero Camera Mount

thingiverse

Root is an educational robot designed to drive on whiteboards with a wealth of sensors, markers for drawing, and an eraser that works seamlessly on whiteboards. To take it to the next level, what's missing? A Raspberry Pi, of course! This add-on module for the Root robot makes it possible to mount a Raspberry Pi Zero and the Raspberry Pi camera. The camera is cleverly integrated into the marker actuator, allowing Root to lift and lower it with precision. With these components, users can unlock new levels of functionality and control over their Root. Want to get started with Root? The tower is positioned at a shallow angle that shouldn't require support material from an FDM printer. The large plate holding the Raspberry Pi also doesn't need support material, and may benefit from a raft depending on your printer. Overview and Background: Lesson Plan and Activity
