Root 2 CNC - Y-Axis Lead Screw
thingiverse
This is my design for a lead screw y-axis using NEMA23 motors. It bolts up to the standard Root 2 CNC 2.1 Y-Axis block. There are two motor mounts. The extended one has extra mounting holes that extend beyond the Y-Axis block, allowing it to be bolted to something for extra rigidity. There are two bearing blocks. The extended one permits using 36" tubing on the Y-Axis with 800mm leadscrews. Parts: 4 - 608 bearings: http://amzn.to/2jIVWDO 32 - M4 bolts x 30mm: http://amzn.to/2k8gci3 48 - M4 washers: http://amzn.to/2jJ2lPu 42 - M4 Nylock nuts: http://amzn.to/2j4XQwF 2 - NEMA23 motors: http://amzn.to/2j53HC4 2 - 800mm 8mm leadscrews: http://amzn.to/2iVq4yJ 2 - 8mm to 8mm shaft couplers: I 3D-printed some for now.
