Roomba Wrangler

This is a custom bracket to prevent your Roomba from pushing its dock around when attempting to return home. Specifically designed for use with the Roomba 980 dock, this solution offers a simple and effective way to keep your robot vacuum in place. Before printing the main part of the bracket, users can take advantage of a built-in fit check feature that requires only 4g of filament (approximately 10 cents). This test piece allows you to verify whether the dimensions will fit your base station accurately. Once satisfied with the fit, simply print the main part, slide it over the base plate, and secure it to your skirting board using two screws. I used PLA material for my own bracket, but feel free to experiment with other materials if desired. Keep in mind that there is a 2-degree draft angle on the base of the bracket, making orientation crucial during the printing process. The radius along the outside edge of the bracket serves as a clear indicator of the top side. If unsure, simply try both orientations – it should be immediately apparent which one provides the best fit.
