Roomba Replacement Wheel
thingiverse
The wheels on my Roomba 760 had become too worn down to handle rough terrain such as transitions from carpet to wood floors effectively. I decided to sacrifice one of them in order to figure out the tire profile and then design new ones that could be printed in NinjaFlex. UPDATE: I was pleased with the result when tested on flat bare floors and carpets, but it turned out the filament used was not actually NinjaFlex, which would have provided a more rubbery grip. As a result, the wheel struggled to climb even simple doorframes and got stuck instead. I then ordered some real NinjaFlex and redesigned the wheel with straight tracks and made it wider in order to achieve better results. The outcome is much improved and doorframes are no longer an issue. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25mm Infill: 15% Notes: I printed at 15mm/s with a nozzle temperature of 240c and a bed temperature of 40c, using 2 walls and a top/bottom thickness of 1mm.
