I'd been struggling with getting my Roomba to dock safely without causing chaos around the room. About half the time, it would dock perfectly fine, but the other half of the time, I'd come home to find that the Roomba had moved the charger under a table or into a corner and then run out of battery, leaving it motionless on the floor. The carpet was my biggest challenge since I couldn't secure the charger to it directly, but after some experimenting, I found that using a clip with double-sided tape attached worked perfectly to keep the charger against the wall, ending my dock-related worries.
