The Comfy Chair Conundrum: A Tale of Roomba Woe and DIY Solutions Every time I'm sweeping my pad, my trusty Roomba gets caught in the comfy chair's leg trap, courtesy of the Spanish Inquisition-esque designers who thought a 1cm high barrier was a good idea. The Roomba dutifully climbs the legs, only to get stuck at the apex, refusing to budge. Frustrated, I turned inventor and created a pair of chair guards, cleverly designed to trigger the Roomba's collision sensor and save it from certain doom. These nifty little contraptions are secured to the chair legs with zip ties, ensuring they'll work their magic on any robot vacuum cleaner that dares to get too close.
