Roomba 700 bumper add-on
thingiverse
The Roomba 700 bumper's bottom half features a rubber coating, while the upper part lacks this protection. This design flaw causes the distance sensors to misjudge clearance when furniture has a bottom space of 6-8 cm, resulting in full-speed collisions. To rectify this issue, print and replace the standard bumper strip with the provided designs, then attach rubber adhesive strips for added protection. Due to the Replicator's limitations, snap fittings are not possible; therefore, use double-sided tape to secure the new strip firmly in place. A Sketchup file is included for customization, and improvements are welcome.
