Replacement Gears for a Roomba 581 These gears can also fit several other models. Instructions: After I realized that none of my original gears were still in good shape, I designed new ones from scratch. You can modify some design parameters by opening the OpenSCAD file. Please note that two of these gears require metal axles with a length of about 7 mm and a diameter of 3 mm. To assemble them, use super glue to attach them inside. Unfortunately, my code quality is low as it was written by merging two libraries and adding some new lines. You should be able to make adjustments if necessary. For the small motor gear, I recommend using a material other than PLA since it can cause issues after prolonged usage. Once the motor warms up past the glass transition temperature of PLA, the gears tend to slip, leading to wear. Nylon or HIPS may provide better results.
