This vehicle is comprised of 78 distinct components, each meticulously named for clarity and ease of use - think 'car body', 'left front wheel', 'left front wheel base', 'right door', 'left headlight 4', and so forth. The car body itself boasts a 'symmetry' modifier, allowing for seamless animation without the need to connect every single one of its 77 accompanying parts. Many of these components have been equipped with the 'mesh smooth' modifier, which can be conveniently removed when poly count becomes an issue. Each component is carefully linked and integrated into the overall vehicle structure, with pivots adjusted accordingly to ensure a smooth animation process. When it comes to simple tasks such as opening doors or moving wheels, employing tools like move or rotate with 'parent' or 'local' reference coordinate system proves incredibly useful. As for the doors themselves, they open in an upward motion. Aesthetic considerations are also taken into account, as evidenced by the addition of some basic materials for improved rendering quality - although no custom textures were used. Furthermore, certain parts have been assigned a multi/sub-object material with corresponding material IDs, allowing for a more refined and detailed appearance. For instance, the windscreen is allocated material ID 2, while the number plate receives material ID 3. In terms of polygon count, the main body boasts an impressive 6744 polygons after collapsing the symmetry modifier (13450 triangle faces). Despite its seeming complexity, this vehicle's design can be easily navigated by employing the 'select by name' tool to clarify linkage and component names.
