ROOF STAGE TRUSS

ROOF STAGE TRUSS

thingiverse

This scale model is in 1:6 format. It's a roof stage truss designed to pair with Depronized Stage-inspired LED Spotlights, which hold long sections that can accommodate up to 16 spotlights each. To create a large square formation, you'll need 12 main pieces plus 4 corner components. Additionally, some nylon string is required for the line riggers. The truss features built-in line riggers that actually function properly, but they require assembly by gluing one end of the center pin only. It's recommended to print the upper line riggers as well, which will need to be attached to the top of my scale stage (coming soon). About the lights: the light cord should be run through the center of the truss and then connected to the source. Line Riggers Setup: Run the string through the bottom middle of the rig assembly and wrap it around a few times, testing to ensure that the line moves freely with the center piece. Repeat this process with the top line rigger, leaving enough string to pull it up and you're ready to go. Other Notes: I've included starter holes for the light handles, which need to be drilled out to mount the lights. Also, make sure to re-scale the trusses so they come out equally scaled in height, width, and length. The length of each truss is 10 inches. Remember to thicken everything up before printing, as this design was made using Sketchup and can only be printed with compatible Makerbot software. Enjoy!
