Romulan warbird

Inspired by the Starship Enterprise, posted as Thing No. 8100, I transformed a Google 3D gallery model of a Romulan Warbird (http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=c5b88c16e0091eed6208ceb8c2299bcc&prevstart=0) into a printable STL file. Due to numerous overhangs, I had to segment the ship into sections to achieve a printable version. The resulting model now consists of four components: the left side, the right side, and two detachable panels. The dimensions are approximately 100 mm x 70 mm x 2.5 mm. I printed the model with excellent results on my Mendel using a layer thickness of 0.2 mm in glowing-in-the-dark PLA material. After cleaning, which requires minimal effort if you set your retraction distance sufficiently long, I assembled the components. The panels are designed to snap into place within the wings; however, they can also be secured with glue if desired.
