A replica of the "ambidextrous moving sofa" model is now available. This geometric shape represents the maximum area that can pass through a hallway with a fixed width and two alternating 90-degree turns, as originally introduced by John Horton Conway and others. A possibly optimal solution was discovered by Dan Romik. I created this model to make the abstract mathematical shape resemble a real sofa, albeit an amusingly shaped one.
