Romanian genuine cork press

This Romanian cork press (as per our prior mention: Cork press) is simple yet effective. Having worked with several vineyards in Romania, I can confirm that this method is widely used for sealing wine bottles there. The wooden frame is crafted through wood lathe turning. As depicted in the images, the body consists of two parts - "Body inside" and "Body outside." This design is mandatory due to technical requirements. The accompanying images demonstrate how to assemble this press and which components need gluing. The 'Cooper armor' is made from a 0.2-0.3 mm thick copper sheet, pre-dented. It will be molded onto the "Body inside" before attaching it with the "Body outside." To use the press, first soak the cork in boiling water and then insert it into the conical copper armor. Apply pressure on the handle rod to push the cork into the bottle. The method is foolproof, I assure you... Including technical drawings (with dimensions) that allow you to create your own Romanian-style cork press from scratch. A turner will have all the necessary information for this task. They must pay attention to the complementary diameters of gluing parts and finish the body after assembly - not a difficult feat... And rest assured, this is the most refined design I've seen due to my experience with multiple examples. Happy cork pressing!
