One of the key benefits of photogrammetry at the Vacone villa lies in its capacity to model and visualize the connection between above-ground and below-ground features. The villa sits atop an artificial platform, reinforced by a lower cryptoporticus that serves as a stabilizing foundation. Beneath the main platform, numerous subterranean structures are situated. This model demonstrates a tunnel excavated into the hillside to provide access to a well. The well's opening leads directly into a room within the villa's residential sector. To explore the underground complex in depth, click on the annotations and then observe the residential rooms with their intricately paved mosaic floors located on the main platform. Combines 3D models created in 2016, 2017, and 2018 using Agisoft Photoscan software. Scalebars, North Arrow, and ground plane elements were generated in Blender.
