Ring from Roman villa of S. Cucufate, Alentejo, Portugal that closely resembles Roman specimens found in contexts dating back to the end of the 2nd century AD through the 4th century AD. It is associated with a post-Roman burial, possibly resulting from reuse. The piece features a silver ring adorned with fine longitudinal lines and an oval chalcedony stone set into it, engraved with the image of the goddess Minerva. Measuring 2.5 cm in diameter, this specimen is on display in the permanent exhibition at the museum of S. Cucufate (Vila de Frades, Vidigueira). Cataloged as No. CUC. 83 XXIV 22.
