Roman shade latch
thingiverse
I discovered an attractive blind latch that required some adjustments to be suitable for Roman style shades. To enhance its compatibility, I replaced the original wheel with one featuring fewer teeth to yield a more refined and defined print. Additionally, I added extra teeth to the inner slide to fortify the string grip and ensure a secure hold. A convenient guide was also integrated into the design to facilitate smooth operation of the shade strings. The base underwent modifications to accommodate installation behind the upper shade bar. The only remaining detail is attaching a 1/8 inch x 1 inch screw to secure the wheel in place. Although it hasn't been thoroughly tested with an actual shade, preliminary functionality checks indicate that it's operating as expected.
