The stunning Roman bronze medallion proudly displayed at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf university coin collection in Germany showcases the regal portrait of Roman Emperor Severus Alexander (reigning from 222 to 235 AD) with his official imperial title, IMP CAES M AVR SEV - ALEXANDER AVG, boldly emblazoned on the front. The back, or reverse, is inscribed with PONTI-F MAX TR P V COS - II P P, accompanied by LIB AVG III in the lower section, and depicts Emperor Severus Alexander seated majestically on a raised platform, resting upon the sella curulis, surrounded by personified Liberalitas and two dignitaries clad in traditional Togati attire. As the emperor extends an imperial gift to a rising citizen, the scene comes alive with elegance and grandeur.
