· 2 attacking warriors attack because of shields with swords; · 2 warriors in defense, closed by shields, when installed one after another, form a âturtleâ formation · 2 warriors with spears standing in anticipation and in the backswing of a throw. The choice of this object to model is associated with a lively interest in ancient history, which developed in early childhood. Every boy in my neighborhood played as a Roman legionnaire at age 10-12 years old. Perhaps there were other war games, but Roman fighters especially amazed us. Maybe it was due to studying the history of ancient Rome in school during that age. Or maybe an image was imprinted from colorful films with shining armor and helmets and bright shields. Probably much was remembered from books asked to read for summer. Perhaps it's not so important when this interest began, but it was there, and as soon as an opportunity to model and print appeared - we couldn't resist. One winter evening, a long-gestating thought began translating into a 3D model. It's incredible how easily the work went, after a short time the legionnaire was ready for printing! Often modeling takes up to a month of work. It was surprisingly pleasant and interesting to embody a strong, brutal, stern, belligerent image that had long been established in my mind. As soon as the developed model was born, I published it for everyone... A rash decision! In many areas of modeling, experts were immediately found who criticized the created image. They recalled how girls discuss the onlookers at the Instagram girl's house. I had to more thoroughly understand the details of the uniforms of the Roman warrior and defend my choice. Such critics are very useful for general development and self-education if they didn't happen; otherwise, we wouldn't know about the many subtleties of the Roman uniform, historical changes in armor, and weapons. Klim Zhukov, our beloved historian and reenactor, would also criticize us terribly, rest assured. But every cloud has a silver lining, after publication it turned out that we're not the only ones who are sick with the passion for the Roman army. Behind the comments real people got interested. Thus began this series in the Roman style; let's call it generalized because We are not archaeologists, historians, reenactors or pros in historical matters.
