Bowl from Roman villa of S. Cucufate, Alentejo, Portugal. Built by the Roman Empire between 1st century AD and 5th century AD. Roman common-ware pottery is its defining characteristic. This hemispherical bowl features a simple edge that slopes inward slightly. Used for individual consumption of liquids and semi-liquids, as well as occasional use in meal preparation and serving. Measuring 7.4 cm high and 15.1 cm in diameter. Currently on display at the museum of S. Cucufate in Vila de Frades, Vidigueira. Catalog No. CUC. 85 199.
