Roman archaeologists are now aware that a small, twelve-sided stone object found buried near ancient Roman ruins is believed to be some kind of navigation device, and possibly a sundial. This theory suggests that it could have been used by Roman explorers, navigators or even astronomers. However, this possibility still requires verification from the archaeological community.
