Roman Crown Laurel Wreath

Roman Crown Laurel Wreath

This is a remarkably straightforward Roman-style laurel wreath crown to print. Simply print it out of PLA, then heat it up to bend the headband and the leaves slightly forward and to the side. I found that using the heated bed at 70 degrees was effective for bending the band. Additionally, I passed each leaf stem over a candle until it bent, allowing me to shape it easily. This project was created for my child who is playing a Roman emperor in a kid's play. My CR-10 was large enough to accommodate his crown, but it may be too small for an adult's head. It's essential to measure your head first before printing the design. To maximize its impact, I sprayed the printed wreath with golden paint, which proved more effective than using gold filament. For optimal results, print the wreath with two perimeters and use concentric fills on both the top and bottom for shaping the leaves.
